With the 2023 season coming to end, Angler of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Team of the Year were all awarded this past weekend at Lewis & Clark. With the two day Championship awarding points to members for each day, it really shook things up. This was the tightest AOY race we’ve ever had with 1st, 2nd and 3rd all being decided by the tie breaker (best tourney finish).
Kevin Workman went back to back with a total of 487 points. He will be taking home Hobie Outback from Select Sail & Sports, LLC!!! I heard he’s looking for a bigger trailer.
Sam Burke is the runner-up, earning himself a $250 gift card to Select Sail & Sports, LLC and a $250 gift card to Fish365 Custom Rods.
There was also a three-way tie for third and his second place finish on Day 1 of the Championship was the deciding factor as Kyle Christensen came in 3rd. He earned himself a $150 gift card to Select Sail & Sports, LLC and a $150 gift card to Fish365 Custom Rods.
Your 2023 Fish365 Custom Rods Rookie of the Year was Cameron Armstrong. For his efforts this year he earned a custom rod!
Your 2023 Ice Hole Power Team of the Year was Team Slaunch Snatchers of Kevin Workman and Sam Burke. They’re consistent fishing earned themselves Power Boxes with 15ah batteries.
Jason Shreck took home the 2023 Fish365 Custom Rods traveling Big Bass rod with his 20.75″ bass he caught during the Red Willow event.
Our Tuesday and Thursday League Angler of the Years was Marty Hughes (Tuesday) and Kyle Christensen (Thursday). They both took home a $100 gift card to @LS_Lures.
Congrats to all the anglers on a fantastic year, these guys really earned it against some of the best anglers in the state!
